Thanksgiving Vacation in Park City

Our Condo at The Canyons in Park City. We stayed at the Westgate Resort. My dad and Harrison trying to teach Shane how to play their favorite game Cribbage.

Cousin Thomas & The Twins. Thomas is my (Misty) brother Lonny's oldest son. He is currently living with my mom and dad in Texas and we were so glad to spend some quality time with him. The girls loved him. I have met few 15 year old boys that were so good with babies and Abigail just adored him; they were great buddies.

Hanging Out At the Westgate Condos

Abigail is listening to Itty Bitty Stories told by Papa Stocker. He is famous for his bedtime stories about a little mouse named Itty Bitty. Bathtime for Emily in the sink.

Bathtime for Elizabeth in the sink.

Twins swimming with Grand Nan.

Elizabeth - Bed Head.

Ice Skating

Abigail has been asking to go ice skating for over a year now and she finally got her chance in Park City. She did pretty well, only one face plant on the ice.
Heather and Shane (Heather's fiance) took Abigail Ice Skating. What a cool Aunt and future Uncle!

The Olympic Training Center

We visited the Olympic Training Facility in Park City. We were able to go on a tour and watch the athletes practice the Bobsled, Louge, and Skeleton. In the picture, there is a female athlete doing a run on the Skeleton.
Thomas (my nephew). This is the closest he got to skiing on our vacation.

Temple Square & The Heber Creeper

We took a train ride on the Heber Creeper. They were doing The Polar Express. It was really fun for Abigail to ride the train, drink hot chocolate, and listen to the story of Polar Express. Santa and Mrs. Claus boarded the train and gave each child a cookie and a bell.

We went to Temple Square to look at the lights. I don't have any pictures, but they were magical. We also saw the movie Joseph. Wow what a great movie on church history. Below is a floating nativity in the pond next to the SLC Temple.

Elizabeth's First Pony Tail

I was able to get Elizabeth's hair up into a little pony tail for church last Sunday. She looked so cute and so grown up with her new hair-do. Welcome to the world of fixing your hair Elizabeth.

Some Cute Pics

Elizabeth refused to take a nap the other day so I put her in the play pen to play until she got tired. Looks like it worked.
Heavy drinker! Emily likes to snatch Elizabeth's bottle from her as a back up reserve.
I love my Abigail! What a cutie!

No Water For 42 Hours!

Wednesday (November 12th) at about 5:00 I went to turn on our kitchen faucet to wash dishes and the water wouldn't come on. Then, I noticed that the washing machine had stopped rinsing the clothes that were in the washer. Then I made the realization that WE HAD NO WATER! Something had happend to our well. So, Darin crawled down into the well, which is bug and spider infested (talk about fear factor), and tried to figure out what happened with no success. Thursday, Darin had the day off work and he spent almost the entire day taking different parts of the well pump in to be tested by the pump store. Of course, the pump store said that they needed to come onsite to fix the problem, so they scheduled an appointment for 9:00 a.m. on Friday. To make a long story short we finally had water by 11:00 a.m on Friday. I am not looking forward to seeing the bill on this one! You never really realize how much you use something until you can't use it. We had to be quite creative when it came to showers, toilet use, washing hands, washing dishes, making baby bottles, etc. I am so glad that I live in the 21st century. Hooray for indoor plumbing!

Elizabeth's Echo

Elizabeth loves to sit in the hall and hear her voice echo. I am so glad I finally got some video of her doing something. She is hard to capture on camera because usually stops doing what ever it is she was doing as soon as she sees the camera. This time she was too facinated by hearing her own voice that she just kept talking. Yeah! The video works. Sorry it is so dark, I didn't want to turn the light on and interrupt Elizabeth's song.

Idaho Couch Potatoes

It has been a bit cold and windy the past few days and it seems like we have watched more TV than usual. I just these were some cute shots of the family hanging out together.

Happy Halloween 2008

Abigail was Cinderella for Halloween this year. She felt so beautiful. She was quite worried though because she did not have a prince charming to go trick-or-treating with. Then, she found Gavin (my visiting teacher's son). He saw Abigail and the first words out of his mouth were "Abigail you look so beautiful today" What a little stud muffin. They trick-or-treated together for a couple of houses, I guess she found her prince charming after all.

Rockland is such a fun, safe place to go trick-or-treating. We had such a fun time strolling the twins around and watching Abigail go from door to door.

Elizabeth was a mouse for Halloween and Emily was a pumpkin. Elizabeth would not wear her mouse hood; she would scream every time I put it on her head, so we sneakily put it behind her for the picture. That was the best we could do. I don't know that the twins knew what to think about all of the Halloween commotion, but they had a lot of fun strolling around the town.

Grand Nan Visits Idaho

My mom has been here since October 18th and will leave tomorrow (Nov 2nd). She came to take care of the kids so that I could go on an adventure in North Carolina and Tennessee (more about my adventure later). We have had so much fun that I haven't taken many pictures. I will try to get some more today. The girls just love it when Grand Nan visits.
