Wrapping Up October

We got our preschool pictures taken on October 10th and I just loved how they turned out.

I have eight children in my 4 year old class called the Whiz Kids.

I have seven children in my 3 year old class called the Leaping Learners

On the twins last day of soccer, I was in Utah judging the Miss Pioneer Valley Pageant, it looks like they were pretty geared up for their last game, complete with black eyeliner war paint.

Daddy and Elizabeth worked on the Barbie Jeep

Can't have an October with out pumpkin decorating!

Busy, Busy, Fall

We have had a CRAZY BUSY start off to the school year and fall. It seems like life just keeps getting busier with good things. We love that we are feeling like we fit in our community and are beginning to recognize people places and things are starting to feel familiar. These pictures did not upload in chronological order, so here it goes.
On October 5th, we had a very busy Saturday. First, the ISU homecoming parade where the girls rode on the DSDS float. It was VERY cold when they got started, but by the end of the parade, the sun had come out and no coats were needed. It is always fun for the girls to be in the parade and this year Abigail got to actually dance in the street.

We then went off to the twins soccer game. Their team is called the green dinosaurs and the coach very creatively puts a green dinosaur on the goal that the kids are supposed to kick the ball to.

We then, celebrated Carson's 1st birthday with a Wreck-It-Ralph Theme. We thought this theme was totally appropriate considering Carson is Wreck-It-Ralph in one-year-old baby form.
Each of us dressed up as a character from Wreck-it-Ralph.

I decorated Carson's cake with this Wreck-It-Ralph Themed Cake-Topper Kit

Emily - aka Taffeta, Misty aka a Nice-Lander, Abigail aka Sargent Calhoun, Darin aka Fix-It-Felix, Elizabeth aka Vinallope VonSchweetz, and Carson aka Wreck-It-Ralph
Enjoying his first taste of birthday cake

Gifts were very practical for Carson: clothes & sippy cups, he was a bit disappointed that the sippy cups were empty though.

Happy Birthday to Carson with a vintage high chair from Heather & Shane.
Carson was lucky to have both sets of Grandparents at his 1st birthday, plus Uncle Mark, Uncle Eric, and Heather & Shane, what a lucky boy!

This little Chubbuck Panther is growing up on me. Sometimes I just look at her and am in awe that she is growing and changing every day.

More soccer: We have the two soccer players, their mascot a Carsasaurus, and their agent Abigail
Carsasaurus the Green Dinosaur mascot.

Tired Dinosaur

It was time for Carson's first hair cut. I can't believe this baby of mine is growing up so fast!
The most handsome men in my life!

Grand Nan and Papa are visiting us because they just got released from their mission in Wyoming and of course the girls had to put a variety show on for them which included. A Spring Bees Puppet Show.

Break Dancing

and Piano Playing

Grand Nan and Papa treated us to a trip to see Odessy Dance Theater's Production of Thriller to watch Abigail's most favorite Dancer Mrs. Chyna Wesley. She wasn't quite sure what to think though when she found out that Chyna was a meal for a group of Vampires.

Carson on his first birthday. He got his shirt dirty before I could get a picture of him.

More soccer player fun. I just love these little Green Dinosaurs.

Firsts

We have had several FIRSTS in the past couple of weeks, so I thought I better blog about them .
Today the twins had their FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN. It was so cute how excited they were and how they packed their backpacks, lunches, and set their clothes out the night before.

Abigail is always willing to pose for a picture when the opportunity presents itself and she thought she needed a picture to show off her new lunch purse.

Headed off to school. Elizabeth's Koala is in the picture as a security item, she wanted him to ride in the car to school with us to help her be brave, so he did.

Just outside the classrooms. It was everything I could do to keep from crying. It's not that I will really miss them, I know they are in a good place and that they are coming home, it is that I can't believe that I have THREE Elementary School Age Kids and that we have actually all made it to this point in ONE PIECE. So, when I got to the car, I cried out of a sense of relief that the day had arrived!

Carson is 11 months old now and walking, trying to run, and has 8 teeth. I can't believe this BIG BOY will be ONE in a month.

Abigail's first day of school was last week. She chose a NEON YELLOW outfit to make her Grand Nan proud and went to school with wet hair because I wasn't feeling well and it was all I could do to make sure she had bathed. Darin took her to school, which was a good experience for him because he usually misses those things for work.

Because Carson is walking now, we decided to get him his FIRST pair of tennis shoes. You would have thought we had tied bricks to his feet because they almost completely immobilized him. Funny!

Little Helper

Carson is a busy man these days. He walks now and gets into everything in sight. He just recently got the nickname of CRASH because where you hear a crash is where you will find Carson. So far he has broken something every day this week. Yesterday, he pulled the mop out from behind the refrigerator where we keep it and started pushing it around the kitchen floor. It is amazing to me what children learn  just from watching something over and over again and he has definitely had his share of watching me mop.

Bunk Beds

The twins will be starting kindergarten on Tuesday and we figured that it was time to turn their beds into bunk beds so that they could have more floor space in their room. Elizabeth got the top bunk and Emily got the bottom bunk. Emily is a pretty wild sleeper, so we thought it was best that she stay closer to the ground for now. I can't believe these twins are growing up so much.

Style

We had our ward party the other day and I decided to let the girls totally choose their outfits and pick on out for Carson too. I love this picture of my kids because the way they are dressed totally matches their personalities.  Elizabeth - Tennis Shoes, Khaki Shorts, Shirt that says, "Sup dog?", Backwards Giraffe Hat, Abigail - New Nike Tennis Shoes, Stretchy Shorts, Glittery "Sports Rule" Shirt, Sassy Smirk on her Face, Emily - always dresses for the occasion. The bishop brought his horses for the kids to ride and once Emily heard that there were going to be horses, she put on her pink cowgirl boots, flower embellished jeans, and pink cowgirl hat. Carson probably will never have any say about what clothes he wears because his 3 sisters already know what he will be wearing next week.
