Nap Time

On Saturday, Darin said that he would put all three girls down for a nap so that I could get some housework (laundry) done. I'm not sure who put who to sleep, but Abigail is really enjoying reading her Daddy a story before his nap - she never went to sleep by the way. I guess a 3 out of 4 is good.

A Belated Valentine!

So, it's February 21st and I am a little late celebrating Valentines Day, but better late than never right? Here is a Valentine for all of you.

For God so loVed the world,
that He gAve his onLy BegottEn SoN
That whosoever believeth In Him should
Not perish, but have Everlasting life."
John 3:16

I think that the there would be much more happiness in our lives if we all decided to love a little more. Let's make everyday Valentines Day and follow the great commandment to "Love One Another."

"As I have loved you, love one another, this new commandment, love one another, by this shall men know, ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." John 13:34-35

Watch the video clip about a man who exemplified love.

Colic or just plain Cranky?

Okay, so there are many joys in motherhood, but this is definately not one of them. The twins will go through these crying spells for 2-5 hours at a time and when they get going, there is no stopping them. So, after I had fed both babies, changed both of their diapers & clothes, and then rocked them in the rocking chair, they were still going, I was getting frustrated, not at them, but at me for not knowing what to do to please them. I just had to take a moment for comic relief and snap a picture, that way I have evidence for future reference. Notice the shirt: "I don't have to be good, I'm cute..." I thought these onsies were adorable when we got them from Darin's aunt Bonnie, but if they are going to act like this when they wear them, these onsies might have to go in their baby keepsake box. I don't really think it was the shirt though because they do this on days that they are not wearing that onsie. Have any of you ever had an exceptionally fussy baby? What are the symptoms of Colic? Any advice? HELP!!!

Man, those babies wear me out!

Last night, we got a new NetFlix movie in the mail and Abigail really wanted to have movie night. We popped the popcorn, got everyone their drink of choice: Darin - Mountain Dew, Misty - Diet Sunkist, Abigail - Juice, and the twins - well let's just say that I'm a walking drink machine. We started the movie and about 15 minutes into the movie the phone rang. We paused the movie to take the call. I think Darin was only on the phone for about 5 minutes and this is what he came back to. So much for movie night!

Children's Place Sweaters

So, I just love these sweaters from The Children's Place - I had to take a picture. I got the girls all dressed up to go to town - we had doctor's appointments. I know, it's a little overboard to dress your kids up to visit the doctor, but when that is the highlight of your week you take the opportunity to show the world how cute your kids are. Sometimes, I just have to find joy in the simple things in life. Doesn't Elizabeth look like a little ball of fun? By the way, for those of you that were wondering where The Children's Place is near Pocatello, there isn't one, I ordered their sweaters online.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARIN & MISTY

On February 1st (my birthday) we went to Pocatello for a nice dinner at a restaraunt called Remos, it was my first time out of the house since the twins were born, except for the occasional doctor's visit.
Darin's birthday presents from Harbour Freight all of this for $48.00! He was so proud of the deals that he found.
Of course Pizza Hut for Darin's Birthday (February 2nd)
As if we wern't cold enough, we got an ice cream cake from DQ.
One big happy family!
Abigail, Darin, Misty (holding Emily)
MIA - Elizabeth - taking a nap.
Abigail was convinced that daddy was turning 19 and mommy was turning 28, I don't know how I suddenly became 9 years older that him, does that mean I'm wiser too, if so I'll take it.

Gymnastics Warrior Princess

Darin and I were on our way out the door to celebrate our birthdays in Pocatello, and Abigail commanded us to "Stop, do not leave this house with out me!" When I asked her what she was pretending to be she said, "I am a Gymnastics Warrior Princess." Of course, I should have known by the outfit. I will try to be more observant next time.

SNOW DRIFT FUN!

Even though Grand Nan doesn't really like the cold or the snow, Abigail was able to convince her to go outside and play in it for a little while. We have had TONS of snow lately, I'm kind of hoping that it will go away soon, but I have a feeling that there is more to come. School was closed once this week because the buses couldn't run due to the high winds and blizzardy weather and the highway between Rockland and civilization has been shut down twice this week. Church was cancelled today because the snow plows couldn't plow the road well enough for people to drive to church. Man-o-man it is really winter!
